We are looking for a Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our expanding team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will help us assess software quality by being responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work.

 

Responsibilities:

• Review key requirement documents and UI designs to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Liaise with internal teams (business analysts & developers) to identify system requirements
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans for functional, performance, security and integration testing
• Create test cases
• Identify, isolate, and track bugs pre & post-release through testing
• Identify any potential problems that users might encounter
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
• Execute test cases and analyze results
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects and track bugs
• Report bugs and errors to development teams along with complete steps to replicate them
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Replicate & validate bugs reported by clients
• Perform regression testing & smoke tests when bugs are resolved
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Contribute in planning, creating and managing the overall Quality Planning strategy
• Identify key KPIs for product quality
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

 

Required Skills and Experience:

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to finish tasks on given deadlines
• Fluent in English
• Team player

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Fluent in Greek
• Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Proven work experience in software development
